My dog was lost and someone found her on the streets. Skyway Vet called me because she was microchipped. They were so... friendly and helpful. She was dirty, flea ridden, starved, and in bad shape. They called me, but I couldn’t immediately pick her up. They kept her all day for me. But the amazing thing is that they went the extra mile. They bathed her, got rid of her fleas, helped her with her wounds, and gave her care until she could be picked up. They gave me a leash and didn’t want anything in return. This shows how much they really care for the animals. They could have had the pound pick her up and made her even more miserable. Even though it’s a business, they aren’t just about the money.read more

There is a reason why this vet has good reviews. I went to them with a emergency as a new patient and they did a... wonderful job helping my dog. I dont agree they charge too much. You get what you pay for. They are my new vet.I’m going to do an update to this review because I used to feel like they would always listen to me when I came in but this most recent visit I saw a new vet there. My Dane had been having congestion all week and I was asking if he could have antibiotics. They would not give me any. He died 3 days after my appointment of pneumonia and sepsis. I spent $4000 dollars try to save him at another an emergency vet. The guilt I feel for not convincing skyway that he needed antibiotics is almost unbearable. Please listen to the pet owners more.read more

I recently moved to the area, and the first vet office I went to left much to be desired. Skyway is the complete... opposite.The doctor was very informative, and answered any and all questions I had concerning care and medicine for my pet. They took great care of my cat, and I will be taking all of my animals to them from now on.read more

This place was by far the worst vet experience I have ever had. I brought in my cat who had been visibly unwell and was... given no answers. Since they were only doing curbside service(which I have no problem with) I was only able to talk with the doctor over the phone. He rushed through everything he was doing and talked over everything I attempted to say. At no point on the phone call did he let me finish a full sentence. I even had to ask him to let me finish my sentence, which he never did since he continued to talk over me. My cat had pre-existing conditions which he never listened to no matter how man times I attempted to explain. After the call I was terrified to let him anywhere near my cat since he clearly did not care about her health. I called back the front desk and the nurse working was very helpful but wrote off the situation as him just talking too fast. I left the visit paying $230 with no solution for my still ill cat. If you care about your pet please bring them somewhere else.read more

I am a hard working individual my two dogs are suffering from a severe skin disease. I have been trying to find out... what it is. I take my dogs to Skyway Animal Hospital on 33 st N and 19. And ask them how much it will be to find the issue. They tell me 141.00 dollars. After waiting for like an hour for results they tell me the tested her for mange and it not that and now it's going to be more money to test her for each and everything to fine out what it is. First of all they lied just tested my dogs for whatever they wanted and when wasn't that just pick something else try that!!!!! My dogs are still sick and they don't care as long as they got me for 141.00 dollars for nothing.read more

You can schedule a appointment. The Doctors, staff and Tech are really nice and knowledge. My cat has difficulties with... taking medication and they showed me how to administer the medication. I would highly recommend this Practice.read more

We have used Skyway since we moved to St Pete in 2015. We have been very pleased with the care that the doctors and... staff at Skyway have given to our four-legged family members. Both Dr Foley and Dr Povis are very knowledgeable and have great bedside manner. When our pup recently got hives, they staff fit us in right away and fixed him up. Dr Povis explained everything and even called later in the day to see how he was doing. I feel that they genuinely care very much about their patients!!read more

Staff was friendly and helpful. Let me get the kitten in within the hour. 2-3 weeks old baby calico that stop nursing... her mother cat. They force fed and rubbed honey on its gums which I guess all someone can do, but was hoping for something more since I paid $75 and I could have done that. Thought maybe they had some RX meds that may have helped the little fur baby survive, but maybe she was too little. I mean isn't that what an emergency animal hospital is for?read more

This place is honest. They believe in natural remedies and tell look you how it is. My baby girl (16 y.o. chihuahua)... was itching uncontrollably n vommitting all weekend. The vet gave her 2 shots n cleaned her anal glands n she's back to her happy little self. Instead of prescribing antibiotics, he recommended baby food for a couple days and even did a follow up call the next morning to check on her. This is a very efficient and caring practice. This is the 3rd vet I've visited in St. Pete and the only one I trust.read more

We are so very grateful for Dr Slocumb, and his team at Skyway Animal Hospital. They have given the very best medical... attention and care to our dogs over the past 20 years. Last month we had to put our beloved Vizsla, Sally, down. She was their 'Pet of the Month' in December and the thoughtfulness and compassion they showed helped us through this very difficult time. What a great place! I've been taking my fur babies here since day one. My 16 year old dog absolutely loves seeing the... ladies when we take her in and my 6 month old pup is just getting his first experiences with them. They treat everyone that walks in like family and they honestly care for the fur babies. The vet services are great and they offer a wonderful opportunity for my babies to stay in a safe place when I can't take them on vacations with me. I highly recommend this place for your furry friends.read more
